Movistar Limited Edition R3 in Australia

I check the Yamaha site every day... don't ask me why...

Today I noticed this little beauty!

Is this just a decal thing or is there more to this limited edition?

cwick2000 and DerVerge like this.

Without analyzing it too much, I can see that the rear shock and front brake calipers are a gold colour.

The best thing about it is that the side fairings are the same color as the rest of the bikes color! I've been trying to get the side fairings from other countries already but Yamaha won't sell them to anyone unless they have the gp edition vin number...

I spoke to my local dealer and they said they're due next week and that it's just a decal/paint change - no performance upgrades sadly.

Some more images from a local dealer. The dealer has fitted a rear seat cowl in the third photo - this is not standard.

This makes me curious what extending the silver to the small side fairings on my blue R3 would look like.

I think it's a nice look. Kind of a zig zag or a lightning bolt.

I think it is just cosmetic and not some mechanically better model.

1965 Honda S90
1966 Honda 305
1974 Honda 750
1983 Honda V65 Magna
1992 Yamaha V-MAX
2015 Yamaha YZF R3

Wrong. Each sticker adds 2rwhp...

It has been confirmed, it's just cosmetic.
