Got 2017 Yamaha Model email today.

So the R3 is finally getting an ABS option in the U.S. it seems. $5299 for White Metallic, or Matte Black ABS, $4999 for Matte Black or Team Blue for Non-ABS.

Haven't found any pics of the White Metallic yet though.

Yeah, the new 2017's are up on the yamaha site. I think that new R3 color is going to be similar to the white 2017 R6.

Garage
I'm going to the Aim expo in Orlando this weekend. Hopefully Yamaha will have some there on display. I'll take some pics if so.

Vagabond FE, Watson design flush mount signals, Rizoma action led rear signals, factory solo cowl.

Thanks for finding that. Doesn't look too bad. Would be cool if they did the Green/Yellow weeks from that R6/the FZ09 on the R3 also.

No originally I posted the R6 (the one with the rear hugger) and was intimating that the new white R3 likely looked something like it. But Yamaha posted the white R3 on their site and posted a pick of the new white R3. Sorry for confusion.

I agree. I like the gray tank on the R6 too. The yellow rims look amazing as a highlight on the white/gray R6, and would look equally as good on the white R3.

I would take that, paint the tail section white, and the rims metallic gold.

And here I thought the fluro yellow was exclusive to the MT/FZ line.

If you argue with an internet moron, everyone loses.

So I wonder how hard it will be to retro fit the ABS option onto the existing R3's? As for the yellow rims, I'm not feelin' it. What happened to the red and white ones? If I didn't get blue I would have bought that colour.
