One of the first things I did was change the grips. In fact I bought new grips before I even got the bike.

Mine pain was in my right hand, and that's down to previous injury (very mangled metacarpal), the vibrations and hardness of grips set if off, so got some nice soft silicone ones. Helps a huge amount, can ride vast distances and gun the twisted all day with not problems.

I also get a bit of hand pain but mostly due to not having to use a clutch for a long time.

Agree with previous posts - gripping too hard (sometimes unconsciously) can lead to cramping. Sometimes it's just ergonomics, like CTS - changing your hand position, using softer grips or changing bar angle/position can help too.

I sometimes get pains too like my wrist but just the bone from my thumb. It's odd and I'm not sure how to completely explain it and it doesn't happen all the time but I notice when I go to the bank it'll hurt always when I get close. It's so weird. Then at times I'll go really far and I won't even feel anything. I may have to try relaxing my hand more often.
