Locked up on rt 1 in the same exact way 3 or so years ago when I started. Just kept the rear locked and the bike was on a 45 degree angle to the lane by the time I stopped.
Last year, I was being an ass and was flying around a corner and hit a pot hole leaned over quite a bit. Front bounced into the air, landed and grabbed, and then I had one **** of a tank slapper, nearly throwing me off the bike. I was able to stand it up and straighten out but that was definitely the most scared I'd been on a bike so far.
Early this season I hit gravel leaving a corner and had the rear drift out, then catch, and had a good wobble or two out of that. I cut the throttle instead of rolling off and riding it out and it snapped hard when the rear did grab.
Also crashed the r3 on my home from the dealer about a month ago. I locked up the front and went down while doing some hard stops to break it in. I should have known better as the parking lot I was in is filled with sand/gravel and the tires were still too new. I'd done a bunch of riding and drills in that lot though, so I was a bit too confident.
Thats about it for my oh sh*t moments, I've had a ton of people merge into lanes in traffic and that kind of stuff, but they are very easily taken care of if you anticipate it. Outside of my first few weeks on the bike I haven't had a close call that I didn't cause by riding aggressively.
