Price paid for R3

Hey fellas,

I'm a newbie and was shopping for a new bike and saw the R3 and really liked it. I was going for the ninja before I found about his one. I know it will take maybe few months until it is released but I was wondering what was the best price before taxes, registration and such you got from your dealer. Since is it preorder everybody paid MSRP??? I was thinking to negotiate with my dealer if I pay all in cash and no financing but wanted to see what is a good starting point.

Let me know the best deals you've gotten so far. Your input is appreciated!

thanks!

I would expect (hope) to pay less than 6k OTD. Down payments and pre-payments ensure paying retail plus full fees usually because you are stating you must be one of the first to have it and unfortunately the dealerships capitalize on that.

I'm interested in the R3 but since I currently have others to ride I don't need it right now. I will wait until it comes out and see what happens. When the Ninja 300 came out my local dealer had a short waiting list and couldn't keep them in stock at first but that subsided and they eventually had several sitting on the floor for weeks at a time and were finally ready to deal. I'm also the guy that buys most of my cars/bikes at the end of fall or in the winter here in the northeast for some really good deals, but that is a gamble as I don't always get to select exact options and sometimes colors.

In any case I can't wait to start seeing these new bikes show up on the forum here and see what people start doing to personalize them.

I agree!. it is 5k MSRP so i don't want to pay no dealers fee, or docking fee, or you came to us fee, f- that.... basically i can get a 2014 ninja 650 for that price. Plus by the time it comes out it will be already mid 2015, 4
months after 2016 is out

its unbelievable what supply and demand does
