I would be in for the Yellow also. I loved that combo and still wonder why they changed from it to the blue/silver. The yellow/black is what I picture when I think of Yamaha race bikes.

Some pics of the blue version. I like these decals more than mine. Not sure if it will be US model.

Here is a look at the matte grey 2016

I put the matte grey front fairing on the blue to see how it would look. I am wrapping my bike soon but always looking for easier permanent color solutions. The matte grey with blue decals would look good.

I was hoping someone would photoshop this! You read my mind and this actually looks really good. I was always planning to switch my silver panels with white but never got to it but I may like this more! Nice chop! You should have chopped the whale tail off too lol

Awesome shop, that looks very neat.

I've been enamored with the matte gray since those photos were released. I think an awesome combination would be the standard matte gray with the rims from the blue R3.

I installed the factory blue decals today and some blue Yamaha decals along with the monster decals. Going to install them on my blue R3 next week.

I do love the old school retro yellow, and I have the Raven that I love, but that matte gray is cold blooded. I really dig the blue too. I had a red/black 2003 Honda CBR 600RR for 10 years, and I'm just overloaded with the red, however it is great color scheme too.

Personally, I have rarely liked every color scheme on a bike's family, and the R3 is the first one where I dig every one and would take any color really.

Right now, I would be hard pressed into choosing between the matte gray, blue, or raven. I bought my bike used and got a solid deal, so I was "forced" into the raven, which was fine by me. The retro Yamaha yellow/black color scheme and the matte gray would just make the choice even harder now, which is good and bad.

The whole kit here isn't cheap, but you can get an approximation of that Black/Yellow scheme by putting this kit on your Raven. You can buy the whole kit or any separate graphics you want.

Wish Yamaha would have changed up the colors for 2016. Yellow would have been sweet. Or orange...
