Wow it's surprising how much the price varies.
This probably won't help but I paid $5990 AUD about a month ago for 2015 red/white model
They were trying to clear out the 2015 models to make room for 2016 models which were going for $6990

This A.D.M. smells a lot like that big dealer in LA county that everyone knows about, if it is don't buy from them.

In Australia the On road price is what's advertised,
(By law)
it varies slightly between the states but its never more than the $6990 AUD retail.
Cars are the same.

I blame the Internet.

I just posted this reply on another person's thread and it seems to apply here too...

"I paid 5k OTD at Wheels in Motion in Chatsworth a couple months ago. That was for a 2015 though. You need to find a volume dealer to get the best price. A price of $5,500 is like paying MSRP, tax, and registration (in CA) so I definitely wouldn't pay more than that for a 2016 if you want the gray. The 2015's are where you could probably get less than that. It's the Dealer markups that get the price north of $5,500 and that should all be negotiable. You just have to find the right dealer. Good luck."

The day before i got my bike, I was at Pacific Yamaha. They advertised the same thing like you are seeing now, $4k on the bike but after fees and everything it just goes up and up. One guy had just bought one and told me he paid $6,600 OTD. I told the salesman about the deal that Wheels in Motion had and he literally said to just go there. There was no way they were beating or even matching 5K OTD.
