OEM clip-ons below top triple clamp...anyone?

Anyone mount the OEM clipons below the top triple clamp? I'm planning on giving this a try but will slide the forks to be flush with the top triples as that may be best for geometry at the track with Ohlins rear shock.

Post pics if you have already done this...please

Looks like it is the preferred method for lower bars

It's definitely way better than the stock position!! all its missing is being able to angle the bars

Preferred method should definitely be a decent set of aftermarket clipons (i.e. Woodcraft, vortex etc) but this is definitely the cheaper option.
Unfortunately I've been stuck using the OEM clipons like this because none of the aftermarket clipons that lower the bars complied with my local racing regulations. There is a lot more flexibility and adjustment with an aftermarket set

The fact that the R3 feels like riding a dirt bike.... is one of the main reasons I bought one!
