Question Left side stator cover install

Hey guys,

Is it safe to install left side stator guard which goes istead of the cap on stator? Im afraid of opening it and Im wondering if there will be any oil leaks (i dont know if its oil-bathed). Is it safe for me to open it and install it?

Pictures showing where it goes and how it looks below.

Thanks for responses guys!

Really shouldn't be an issue, especially if you have it on a stand.

If some oil comes out (and I don't know if it will), just have a pan ready to catch it. Replace with clean oil if needed.

Thanks for responses! I just did it and it took like 1 minut. There is no oil in there and its not even tightened that hard, just a regular cap
