Hello from Virginia

Hello everyone,

So my wife and I just traded in our Ninja 300 and Honda CB500F for a pair of 2019 R3's. I returned to riding after a 10 year hiatus a few months back and used the 300 to get back into it. She is a new rider and picked out the 500 and wound up hating it and then liking my 300. The original plan was to pick up a pair of Ninja 400's but after some time at the dealer we both liked the R3 better. I was a bit worried it would just be a lateral move from the 300 and to an extent it is but I feel the R3 outclasses the 300 in every way after putting a days worth of riding on it. We are both quite happy with the purchase and I know I plan to become an active part of the community, hopefully she will too but she's not so big on the forum thing like I am.

Anyways we are in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia, Suffolk to be exact. If you are local feel free to reach out.

Nice dude! Maybe we'll get to meet up finally! lol Do you know where in Virginia you'll be? I'm guessing if you're Navy or Air Force, you'll probably be around Hampton Roads area too.

They can get pretty full I think, just depends on the organization and weather. I'm trying to become a coach with Evolve GT. They're a great organization, and they do a lot of track days all over the east coast. But june to september is a good time for that here.

If you're only here for a few months and won't have a bike, and I still don't sell my R3 by then, you can probably just borrow that for some track days. If I do get to be a coach, it means I'll be doing a lot more track days too, since I'll have to go to a bunch (last year I only did 2, I mostly raced), so I'd be taking it with me all over anyway.

Thanks for the welcomes sorry it took me a few days to replay to my own intro thread, life just got busy and to be honest I forgot I made it. Sbk1189 do you only ride on the track or do you have a street bike?
