I always wanted to take a few rips on a CBR-400R, not because it was crazy fast.... it just had an intoxicating sound that I wanted to experience myself.

I always wanted a CBR1000RR.
In 2013, I pulled the trigger on a new leftover 2012 model, since it was the 20th Anniversary edition.
Totally happy with it, so I don't really lust after any other bikes right now.
I like the sound of the Aprilia V4 engine. But I don't really want to own one.
If someone told me to pick any bike I wanted, and they would buy it for me... I guess I would pick
a new Triumph Street Triple 765 R. It would look nice sitting next to my CBR.

I'm feeling my age this morning reading this thread!!

I was lucky enough to have a ZX7RR and raced it in South Africa for a while. They said at the time that it had the best front end of any sports bike in the world...I rode a friends one about 3 weeks ago and it still has the best front end of any bike I have ever owned!!

May start a new thread with what bike's I've owned!! I feel old now!

Triumph street triple RS (for the street, though, the street is interesting me less and less these days)
Segway thing for zipping around the paddock

Either a Panigale 959 or a RSV4........I'd have to ride the two to decide between them. Having visited and toured the Ducati factory this past April, I have a special place in the heart for the brand, but the RSV4's sound is also of strong appeal.

I'd keep my current R3 though. It's got enough usable power for the roads where I live. The (unforgiving) mountain curves are rather fun with the toss-able bike.

Would you take the VFr over an RVF? I've rad into it, supposedly the VFR handles better? The RvF looks better imo due to the UsD forks. Plus the rear tire is a standard 17" vs 18" on the vfr.

As for the original question, no limits on money, I would buy Jay Lenos garage, or duplicate it at least. It's impossible to think only one bike could satisfy your wants as a motorcyclist.

I had an NC30 in the early 2000's and I absolutely loved it. I was living in Thailand at the time and I used the bike to explore the country. It was an absolute blast and I have a lot of wonderful memories of that time.

Not only was it a wonderful bike, which would still go great today, but in my case there is a lot of nostalgia involved in wanting another one.

I wouldn't even need a tv if I had one of these parked in the lounge room.

Super Duke 1290 gt or mv agusta turismo veloce. That mv is a stunning sport tourer.

And a grom, because going slow is equally fun
