Red face track ready r3?

Hello guys!
I am thinking about getting ninja400 or r3 for track only.
I used to have r3 when it first came out.
I moved on to 959 and tuono for both track and street.
But now I saw myself holding back and not really riding aggressively on tracks worrying about how expensive it would be to get the bike fixed.
So I want something that I wont be too worried even if I crash.
I have no idea how much track ready r3s are.
I am not gonna be racing but I feel like upgraded suspension and brake would be nice to have.
Anyone have any ideas on how much track ready r3s would be and what upgrades are essential? And is 2019 worth the price for track use? (I love the look lol)
Thanks

Do a quick search on here, someone recently asked a very similar question in another thread.

FWIW, I have a track/race ready R3 that I'm trying to sell. It's listed on here in the for sale section too.

I've got a 2016 r3 track only bike. It only had 450 miles when I bought it from a repo dealer, look like it came straight off the dealers floor. Anyway, I've got the k-tech razor lite rear shock and k-tech springs for my weight, Jesse's flashed ECU and the M4 full exhaust. Right now I'm running the Bridgestone S20 but will be installing the Michelin EVO's soon. Bike purchase was 3000.00 plus about 1200.00 on up-grades.

Personally I like this bike better than the R6 I had. It was a little too much for me on the track at 62yrs lol.

Good luck with your choice.

thanks for the advice guys.
What is a repo dealer exactly?
I did some search and found a few bikes that I like but nothing around the LA area yet.
I could just get a used regular r3 and do some upgrades myself...
But I am not in a hurry to purchase a bike so I will take some time to find the right one appears.

He gets bikes from a auction that have been repossessed from a lender.

Bikes can be shipped I've bought 2 bikes that were much farther away than I was willing to drive and had them shipped. So don't limit yourself to LA area only.

Mine started off also as a cheap salvage, because it was a theft recovered bike. Didn't even have a key or battery. $1300 bike quickly ended up into a $7500 build lol It adds up quick when you buy a stock bike and do your own upgrades. Best bang for the buck is always to buy one that's already track ready and you don't have to do anything to it.

I'm asking $4000 for mine FYI...shipping would probably be around $500 or so.

If you are looking for a set up r3 it may be cheaper to buy one that already has suspension on it. Look in the classified section.

Haha. Same boat. The original bike was too good of a deal to pass up. You should do a race bike build once in your lifetime......but only once
