I went to the motorcycleshow Toronto on Friday 2nd January 2015. There was no yamaha R3 on display. I tried asking Yamaha folks and other major Toronto bike dealers. Was pretty upset they did not have one on display. But, I booked one for myself anyways.

that sucks, of all shows and places in canada i would have thought it would show up their.

hopefully it shows up at some other bike show elsewhere in canada and soon enough.

at least you got to book one, did they tell you when you can expect it?

The show that just passed in Toronto is an Enthusiast show, not a manufacturer new model show.

The show this weekend (Jan 9-11) in Calgary is the Manufacturer show which then travels to Edmonton, Vancouver, then out east to Toronto, Montreal etc.....

I may or may not attend the Calgary show, but I know someone who is going for sure and I will report back to you guys if the R3 makes an appearance there... if its at the Calgary show, I can bet money it will be at the Toronto show

Judging by this press release Yamaha Press Release on the Calgary Motorcycle show website, I can only hope they'd have one there to ogle over ;)

I made a post, but it seemingly disappeared

The upcoming show in Calgary this weekend is the same show as Toronto, it then will go to Edmonton, Vancouver, then out east to Toronto, Montreal, etc.

Oh ya...

Well for the rest of you Canadians in major cities you can touch and feel it at the show if you wish....themotorcycleshows.com/

Land vehicle Vehicle Motorcycle Automotive tire Car

Motor vehicle Vehicle Motorcycle Car Automotive design

Im a terrible phone camera photographer and with the place pretty full I didnt bust out the photographer in me, but they did have all 3 color options there

Two tone colors are $5099 and $4999 for the Raven Black.... ignore the sign... I gave the reps a little grief over that as it was posted on the Blue two tone one

The RC390 ($5999cdn) is also there, as well as a compliment of Ninja 300/CBR300's

Those blue wheels look amazing. Going to be tough for me to choose the raven over the blue/silver.

Question:
What does the "Excessive Lean Angle Sensor" do?
Is it for a stiffer suspension when you're dragging a knee through a corner or something?

Probably a stupid question but was just wandering.

Thanks,

This sensor transmit a signal to the lcd display. It reads: Oh sh*t! :eek:But who take time to check this when doing a lowside. Lol.
Seriously, it cuts the engine off when the bike is on its side. Nothing new i guess. My 2003 SV650S had that. I did a lowside at an exit of a turn durint trackday.
