We've got European prices for the 2015 Yamaha YZF-R3. Just for comparison's sake, the R3 goes for $4,990 in the US.

If you are looking to purchase the 2015 Yamaha YZF-R3 in Europe it it going to cost you €5,395. If you are residing in the UK then the same bike will cost you £4,799.

So it is going to cost you more for the bike if you are in Europe when you factor in the currency exchange, but it isn't an outlandish price difference (is it?)

Still nothing known about the pricing in the Netherlands. I think it will be around €6000 beacause we have the highest taxes overhere. The Ninja 300 for example is €600 more expensive in the Netherlands than in Germany and Belgium :crying:

I always figured that prices would be pretty consistent across Western Europe. Is there any explanation for why things are more expensive in the Netherlands?

That sucks.
Have you tried asking around at you local dealers to get an idea of what it could be from their end?
I went to the nearest dealer today and they said that they will charge €6400 for it. That is €6000 for the R3 and an additional €400 for inspection/delivery costs. Pretty expensive if you ask me, but all other motorcycles are expensive as well overhere. They will be available somewehere in April. I hope that I can save enough money as a poor student before April.

The American site, however, says that the R3 will be available from February 2015. So does that mean that it will launch in the USA first?

i hate how much they charge for delivery
and it's like this as well with cars.

but i guess the way they see it is if you're spending 4 figures for a bike, what's absorbing some low 3 figure additional charge to you?

he just said because of taxes...
But taxes shouldn't raise the price of the R3. The price stays the same but the taxes add to it at point of purchase. At least that is the way I am thinking it works.

Unless we are talking about tariffs, or perhaps they have taxes baked into prices from the start instead of being added at the register.

No, that is not how it works overhere. VAT and some sort of vehicle registration tax (and probably some other taxes) are included whithin the price. That makes the bike cost €6000 in the Netherlands and €5400 in Germany (our VAT is higher and I think that we have more types of tax that we have to pay). Then we have to pay €400 for delivery costs to the dealer, which I find weird (is this the same in other countries as well?). And on top of that, we have to pay road tax once a year.

Velkommen til forummet . Jeg tror, du er det første medlem fra Danmark.

Google viser 64 995 DDK som $ 9728 US Dollars.

Enten måde , det er næsten $ 5000 USD mere end R3 koster her i USA , før skat , etc.

Har du virkelig høje skatter i Danmark for motorcykler og automibiles ?

Også , blå og sølv er den bedste farve

Hej.. Hvad måtte du bøde for forsikringen??

Går ud fra du har kasko og de 9 mdr om året, som vi normalt har her i Danmark?:)
