Is that even allowed? No local dealer would allow me to test ride.. it was irritating.
Some dealers have a used one on the lot. If not, check your local area CL on the interwebz.
Call the dude and go check it out. Sellers usually let you ride it, even if it's just up and down the
street while they watch you. At least you get to know how the bike handles.

Dealers won't let you ride a brand new one. Such is the way with the Japanese brands.
Visit a high-end Eurobike dealer, and it's a different story. But they will VET you first.
So if you don't have proper "bonafides".... don't expect them to roll-out the red carpet.
( They gotta know you can actually BUY the bike. They cater to RICH dudes. )
