Hey R3 world!

Scratched up the silver on my R3 while transporting to the track a couple months ago, wondering if anyone has found an close match of off the shelf rattle can paint for the silver paint. It's not very bad, but looks ugly up close.

Hey R3 World!
For those that have the Blue and Silver 2016 Livery, and are having trouble finding a paint code, touch up paint, or OEM paint for the Silver like I was, you're in luck!

I recently did a repair job on a crashed 2016 R3 with the same exact livery as mine, and had rashed panels to use as reference. Took one to my local Pep Boys which was having a 50% off everything in store sale to get rid of all inventory for a remodel, and choose the closest two Dupli-Color Perfect Match spray paints I could find. Tried both, and the Nissan BNS0565 Silver Frost Metallic (549) [replaced 8800565] is a pretty close match, good enough for scratch or slight rash touchup on a budget.

I was actually thinking about incorporating some of the silver color on the bodywork for my track bike when I make some changes over winter. So thanks for doing the legwork and for posting this. Nice info to have

Olá meninos. Falo do Brasil. Eu tenho uma YZF R3 2016 azul e cinza e infelizmente acabei em um pequeno acidente, e o lado direito da moto esfregou e removeu a tinta. Mas não estou encontrando o código de cores cinza para o funileiro repintá-lo sem perder sua originalidade. Se alguém souber o código de cor cinza eu ficaria grato.

Procurando retocar a parte " cinza " em uma das carenagens. Olhando para o site de rito de cores ele não existe. Alguém já combinou o esquema de cores para isso ou sabe qual base afiliar?

Don't worry so much about getting the exact OEM color. They're sport bikes, they're meant to take damage, you're not loosing any more value by using a close match like the one above.
