I watched the RevZilla video and Sean said that ABS was a no go on the R3,

Is this true for US or will the UK still be getting ABS?

I don't see anything on the website about it, I was sure it used to be on the EU product page.

North America won't get abs.
Aus I know will.. So I'd assume UK would as well?

Not a requirement here so they didn't bother with it.

US probably won't get ABS until 2nd gen which probably be in 2016. While UK will get ABS as it is require so it's fitted standard. What is stupid is why didn't they just included an option with US bike I mean rather than making two different models.... I guess Yamaha is crazy like that just like the FZ07 just finally coming to USA when it's been over in UK for years.

Maybe i'm totally wrong but the UK has to follow the EU laws(which means ABS as standard on new bikes)?

Confirmed. The US Version DOESNT have ABS.

europe will get ABS becasuse its law. All motorcycles are pretty much built to euro standards because they are the most stringent, US market R3 WILL get ABS eventually. if they said it would RIGHT Now before the bikes are out how many sales would they miss out on???

Just to update this my local Yamaha dealer has an R3 in now, (UK) and can confirm has ABS
