Should be for USA too. I don't see why Yamaha marketing team would do otherwise when their competitor has ABS.

Surely ABS will be an option for NA as it is with Ninjette and CBR. Makes sense Europe will be having it standard, they have mandatory ABS laws coming into place shortly...
