I have a super high tolerance for things like this, but it makes active topics unusable. There are methods that exist to prevent these kinds of things. We should enact some.

Multiple PM's sent to our admin but all I hear are the crickets. They are obviously not willing to spend the money or time to put some hoops in place to reduce this.

In my local riders forum we do something really simple that costs nothing but a couple minutes a day. Review every new member before allowing them to join. Takes 1 second per member. Is their name halfi828gskf? Membership denied. Sure, might take a day before your accepted to join the forums, but I think its worth it.

Give me the permissions to do so and I'll do it personally (if admins see this). All I do is sit and browse while at work all day so why not.

One thing Ive noticed is they come up in a 3 hrs window, 6.30pm-9.30pm my time.

I suggested they add a CAPTCHA or similar (like the simple math problems you have to solve).

Easy way to stop the spam, at least until the SpamBots get better at circumventing CAPTCHA.

And the CBR250 and 300 forums are run by the Motorcycle.com Group just as the R3 forum is, so there must be a way within the software package to do it.

Actually me and some others did try to write to the forum admins both PM and directly in this tread http://www.r3-forums.com/forum/425-...-addition-suggestion-admins-3.html#post133705 with suggestions but I´m not aware of they have done some of it. ? haven´t head from them yet beside that answer in my link..

But maybe we "all" need to PM the admins for something to happens ??
