So how many people are going to break-in their R3 engine using the Yamaha owners manual method or this method:

I've owned 2 Yamahas, 2 Kawasakis and my current Honda, all bought new.
I ALWAYS use the manufacturer's recommendations for break-in on all my bikes and have never had a problem.
As far as I'm concerned any other method is nothing more than voodoo science and asking for trouble and/or warranty voiding.

I always try to follow the owners manual but I don't stick to it like it's the law. It's a balance.
