Bridgestone S20 EVO Mileage

6090 Views 4 Replies 4 Participants Last post by  Aufitt
I just put the second rear S20 on. The first one went 3500 miles and was down to the wear bars. The second one went 3200 miles and was worn beyond the wear bars. Both rears wore mostly in the center due to the amount of freeway I have to do to get to good riding. The front went 6500 miles and the sides were wore out and the center had plenty left. I ran the stock pressure at 26/38. Doesn't seem like much in the way of mileage based on the weight and power of this bike but on the other hand I ride it hard, they stick really well and they don't cost that much so just the cost of having fun. My BMW goes about 5000 on a rear as a comparison.

A little sad to hear that, but thank you for letting us know that data. Luckily for us the tire is a pretty good price. I hope the just released s21 are available in r3 sizes and perform better, while getting equal or better mileage. Can't ask for too much, but technology is improving every day, so keeping my toes crossed!
Try more reasonable and balanced pressures of 29F/30R

Yamaha seem to quote 36R, this is fine for fully loaded Maximum weight,
But other 250 size bikes like Ninja and CBR say 30 rear.

Yamaha recommends 29 front and 36 rear for tire pressure. Thats what i go by.

Yes, but comes with Bias ply tyres, not radials.
