i actually bought the R3 in October but was put in storage right away. I regretted that about 50 times since we didnt get much snow and actually hit 60-70 a few times in november and december.Dang furbz you have been a member since October and only now got your bike? I only buy new bikes in the spring. That way... I can RIDE them as soon as I bring them home!i actually bought the R3 in October but was put in storage right away. I regretted that about 50 times since we didnt get much snow and actually hit 60-70 a few times in november and december.
Flip side to this is that they cost less in the winter. Wait dont you live in Cali? Who cares what month it is?!I only buy new bikes in the spring. That way... I can RIDE them as soon as I bring them home!

From what I have seen, new model-year bikes start hitting dealerships in the spring. SO... that seems to be a good time to find a deal on a last-year leftover. (Which is what I did with my new R3!)Flip side to this is that they cost less in the winter.
Is there a Facebook page or is it a website for the meetup group? I'm in SD and wanna start meeting more local ridersYay! Enjoy it man! If you start feeling that urge to find people to ride with in the canyons of San Diego, go join the meet up group. Lots of riders, and regular (not as often as before though) newbie oriented rides. Experienced riders helping out newbies. Some of the riders are even instructors from riding schools or track day organizations. Plus you get to hang out at Potrero market, Julian or Cameron corners and see hundreds of bikes lol.
