has anyone installed a cell phone mount on there R3?
If so what kind did you get?
Looking for suggestions, I would like to use my iPhone 6+ for GPS on the way to job sights.

I did buy one from Lazada which is a Thai online store. Its was cheap at $5 so I snapped it up but when it arrived this week I realised that the clip on bars on the R3 are not tubular. Quality of the product itself is very good but I have as yet to find a way to install it.

I haven't done so myself but I've seen people who've used the bolt at the front of the fuel tank, right before the handle bars to install a RAM mount.
I just order this setup thanks to the video.
I think he's one of the members here, just not sure who it is :)

Seen the many different variations and this seems to be the best/simplist way to go.
what does that screw hold down? the one he took out in the video to install the RAM ball mount. Does anyone know?

I thought it was a screw for the clip on but I'm not sure. Either way, as long as you get a proper sized screw replacement you should be able to fit the RAM mount and still stabilize whatever that screw was fastening.

this is the setup I'm going to use after winter. If anyone figures out what size bolt we need please post in the thread, otherwise I'll update it once I figure it out once it gets warmer!
He mentions the parts at bottom of comments.

-RAM Mounts Universal X-Grip Cell Phone Holder - RAM-HOL-UN7B

- RAM Mounts Double Socket Arm Color Black Size S

- 6MM Flat Washer
- M6x50 Screw
- Threadlock
I used the ram, but I went with the u bolt option and attached it on the left side of the handle bar, took 2 mins

I second this. I couldn't be happier with the placement.
