Clutch lever distance

Is there a way to make the stock clutch lever much closer to the grip? Does adjusting the clutch like what in the owners manual says do that?

Best approach would be to install a cheap set of adjustable levers. Typically around $50 and most give you 6 settings with a small adjustment lever so you can set your distance from grip to lever so it best fits your hands.
Was hoping that it is possible with the stock lever, really don't want to spend money on some new levers stock seems fine its just the distance thats the problem. Well thanks anyways

Unfortunately you cannot move the stock lever closer to the grip. You can adjust the the performance of the clutch but that only effects where it engages, not the physical distance between the lever and the grip.

I got a pair of adjustable levers from China for $40 and they are working great for me. You can probably get them as cheap as $20-25 if you aren't particular about color or finish. I wanted blue/silver so I paid a bit more. If you don't want to send the money then you are out of luck, sorry :(
Just give it more freeplay.

ie instead of 10mm std, give it 15mm at the ball of the lever.

I don't think he is trying to alter the engagement of the clutch/the amount of freeplay, I think he wants the physical lever to be closer to the grip.

i.e. if stock is two inches away, OP wants the lever to be one inch away. Adjusting freeplay would alter pull distance for engagement, but not the physical distance of the lever from the grip.
Yes exactly not freeplay but the lever's distance since the stock is a bit far for me and thus makes my hand sore. If only it was the same as the brake lever that would have been perfect.

I think I'm having the same reach issue with the left side. No problems with the brake lever.
