I have a video, just pm me. I can't post a video yet. :/ sorry
My clutch is hard from 2 to 3rd for whatever reason. But it only happens some of the time. I found in other threads on this forum that many people are experiencing the same thing. After the 3 weeks it worked it self out and I haven't had an issue since then. My guess, breaking it in since it's new and only has 200 miles on it. But just my guess.

Ok this morning my clutch gave way. Not a cable problem. it's something inside the housing. Hope it don't cost me much. 3 months plus and 20 000km. This is bad and im upsad. First time in my life this ever happen to new bike. Been riding since 1988.

You rode it 20,000 kilometers in 3 months ?!?!?

Is it still under warranty? Should be at least 1-year warranty on that bike.
I guess you will need to take it to your local dealer so the shop can remove the side-cover and see what happened inside.
Check the clutch bearing.
Known issue for R25.
Changed mine from KOYO(stock) to SKF bearing (code : 61901-2z).

Total cost plus towing @ $140.00.

we have the same problem after shifting second gear on my R3 it felt like something had broken, like the clutch cable, after inspection clutch cable is good.. brought my bike to the dealer told them what my problem is..and the mechanic showed me another R3 with the same problem as mine waiting to be fix..they said i'm the second r3 owner with kind of a problem with my clutch..so they said I'm still in a warranty program..they don't know if they will cover parts or labor:crying:

Everything should be covered and free, unless you abnormally broke something and can't convince them it was a random failure.
All my other 3 bikes have been Kawasakis, first thing I noticed on R3 is how soft the clutch is. Would anybody recommend getting this replaced before it's too late? What damage can it do without preventative maintenance? When do I know it's not just soft but about to break?

Thanks!
i notice mine before my clutch went dead is? when i'm in the stop light waiting for green light, its hard to find NEUTRAL,that"s from gear 1 to N,it always wants to go to 2 gear..and when the clutch is engage on 1st gear when i push the bike little, i can feel a drag on my chain. clutch lever is pull in..then BOOM clutch is gone.. this happen when i was cruising 45mph down hill no way to down shift my gears.its scary..
