Hey guys I have a 2016 Yamaha R3 and was thinking about removing the baffle but I am not to sure if I will lose power in the lower RPMs, if anyone has taken it out could you please reply stating if there was a power change or any change other than sound and if not? (not looking to change anything with the airbox and all that to accommodate the baffle removal and back pressure, just wanna know if it makes a difference to the bike performance)

ThankS!

From what I understand, removing the baffle reduces back pressure in the exhaust which does reduce performance. I'm pretty sure I read an article somewhere where someone dyno tested a slip-on with and without the baffle and there was slight drop in HP (<=1 HP) with the baffle removed, but that was on a full system with the silencer and catalytic converter removed. There is likely less effect/impact if it is just a slip-on.
