Nubian has not left the building Thanks for the welcomes all!! Main use of the bike will be commuting yes, I've been limited travel wise by my 125 who isn't the happiest camper at highway speeds.

All the bikes you listed there are great choices. I know that the KTM can be uncomfortable to sit on. People on this forum are probably biased for the R3, and that is because its a great bike!

Everything I read...seat ht, upright riding position, low pegs, visuals, narrowness of the bike suggests it will fit me perfectly at 5'7". The bike has "thrash me" written all over it.

All of these bikes looks great, I would really examine the R3. Looks like the KTM is a bit more aggressive of a rider triangle for commuting duty and probably buzzes a good bit like my friends 690 Duke (also a single).
