They're $1050 EACH, so $2100 a pair or 42% of the MSRP of the R3.

For VERY deep pockets only.

These aren't the only designs they have.

Loox like a solid way to ADD unsprung weight and really fu¢k up the bike's gyroscope (bad handling), as well as lighten the wallet.

Lighten the wallet for sure - but then again, the Galespeed race wheels (forged) run $650 front, $850 rear. Stockers are cast aluminum, so the blingers (billet) would likely be a bit lighter, depending on pattern. Funny, according to their site, they are "forged billet" (not likely, just machined billet) Still - more show than go I'm guessing.

Probably he means the blank is forged and then finished machined. That's how they are normally done. Forging is way too rough to get the finish and tolerances you'd need.
