Fender eliminator

Like most people I got rid of the giant plastic contraption BUT beware!
There is a reason why Yamaha put it there! It's FUNCTIONAL!
I never gave much thought to the modification afterward until I had the misfortune of riding in the rain recently and when I got home my entire back and the rear seat, tailight etc was full of grime and mud.

LOL so while having no fender makes the bike look prettier it also makes your back and parts of the bike very dirty.

Now I have to dry clean my jacket :(

And the upside of removing it is nobody will tailgate you in wet weather because they'll be too busy trying to stay away from the big old rooster tail of water and road sh*t coming off your rear tyre, hehe.

You think those ugly pumpkin turn signals are there to piss you off? No, its more visible than all those tiny LEDs people put on.

Yes, most everything the manufacturer puts on has a safety or functional reason. That doesn't stop people from changing it out regardless.

This is one of the reasons I'm a bit hesitant to change it out. Surely there is a good compromise between the two worlds. I like the look of the rear huggers that some people have installed, does that help things at all?

I don't get covered, but the back end does get messier....get the hugger and don't ride in the rain ;)

Not on purpose anyway haha.
