Hey everyone, been lurking here for about a week now and reading up on some posts. Lots of great info, looking forward to getting to know you all.

I bought my first ever bike about a 1.5 weeks ago and it was a blue R3. So far just taken it around the block a few times to get comfortable. LOVE it so far!

Will be asking a few questions here and there so please be patient with this noob :)

welcome from vancouver!
Welcome from England enjoy yourself.
Gratz. Be safe out there.
Thanks everyone! This forum is exactly what I needed - lots of guys with bikes and some good discussion on DIY. So far I've ordered the mirror extenders, and the large delrin spool sliders and the flush mount turn signals. Was going to get a Zero Gravity windshield but don't know which one to get.
Welcome! Perfect colour choice ;)
Welcome! and you hit a home run with buying the R3.
Welcome, and ride safe.
Thanks! Was out riding today - really starting to get the hang of shifting. I find the clutch doesn't really grab until the lever is almost half way out. Is that just me or is there maybe something wrong?

You can adjust that. Google "adjust friction zone" and you will get (first one that popped, I didnt read it too much, just wanted a quick example) this:

EDIT: Nothing "wrong" with it, was just adjusted that way before it was sold to you.
Thanks! I searched and found several threads here on this site on how to adjust it. Will fiddle with the adjustment a bit tomorrow.
