Im looking for my first motorbike in 10yrs.. havent ride for sometime
Although I got a full licence I didn't want to sit straight onto a 600 again.. itll only be used for commuting and enjoyment..
I'm down to the last 2 choices
Yamaha r3 and kawasaki ninga 400..

R3 looks awesome but the ninga has a bigger engine..

Pros and cons please guys

No need to pretend unbiased. This is the R3 Forum, after all. The R3's been out since 2015, with few mechanical changes and some cosmetic updates. But it's proven fairly bullet proof, with Yamaha taking care of it's weak spots with Safety Recalls. The Ninja is indeed more powerful with it's larger engine, and seems perfectly capable of holding it's own when compared to the R3.. With one major exception. The Ninja/ Z 400's have been plagued with clutch problems since their inception in 2018, and have yet to be addressed. Kawi has remodeled a few internal clutch/shifter parts on it's 2020, but those appear to be only a band-aid fix. And still.. no Kawi factory recall for what seems to be the weak link in an otherwise wonderful bike. Good Luck, either bike will provide loads of enjoyable miles.
