Which generation do you prefer the appearance of?

Of the two generations of R3, which do you like the best for appearances alone (ignore any updates in forks or other small bits, just select the one you think is best looking.) Below are reference images with the Corporate blue paint scheme for each:

If I were to go strictly on appearance, I'd say the second generation.... That being said, I own both. For my uses (track use), the first generation is superior in EVERY way!!!! The bodywork is closer to the bike, which makes it "crash" better. The forks are easier/cheaper to upgrade- modify. Also, the tachometer is much easier to read at a glance, then the 2nd generation. Those items are pretty much all that changed "mechanically" between the two. Yamaha has a HUGE hit with the R3!!!! The things they upgraded in the second generation, were more geared toward appearance/marketing. I think Yamaha did a brilliant job of marketing the 2nd generation!!!! I still think they got it "right" the first time :cool:-
