I imagine one of these dual-axis mounts could be modded to fit an R3. I think it's designed for the DJI Phantom Quadcopter, and not as compact as the Gyrocam, but cheaper. Would stay level under acceleration and hard braking also. No rise or dive of the image.

That gimbal would be super cool to try out. It's not super expensive, either.

Mine has been working great, also great support from the maker as well. I use mine for coaching others.....great way to follow someone and use the video for review later.

Here's another one: Feiyu 3-axis gimbal mounted on a helmet using GoPro suction cup.

Available for around $200 on eBay for the gimbal.
