Wondering if anyone tried to DIY a hazard light switch into the r3 ?

Not exactly a hazard light, but I did install a unit to make my front headlights blink.

Didn't seem to be too popular with folks though...

I had a Signal Dynamics Headlight Flasher on one of my bikes once. It definitely pissed off some people. Certain finger gestures became pretty common when I had it activated....:)
I was actually talking about other members of this forum not favoring the blinkers.

So far no problem from drivers on the road, even here in crazy California.

Ah, okay. Got it. Seems Colorado Cagers don't care for Headlight Modulators, especially when I forgot to deactivate it when I got in heavier traffic.

I do use a brake light flasher on all of my bikes, though. And a FIAMM Low Tone horn. These are the first two mods I do, before I even ride the bike for the first time.

Since the r3 only has a 2pin relay, is there any issues with wiring it like this without an additional relay ?
Just wondering if anyone has done this yet? I can't imagine it would be that hard but I'm a bit scared to be the guinea pig ;)

you will need 2 relays and 1 flasher to make this work on the R3. my video is currently Uploading to Utube once done ill post the video link here in the DIY section of forum.
Quite a simple modification... No extra relays needed. Just a switch and some wire.

Yes, I did see the video - awesome work as always! Wish you weren't so far away because I'd get you to help me build the headlight setup. I went with a plug and play HID kit for now.

**** thats FUNNY, yes headlight modulators annoy some folks but boy do they get you noticed. Worth it my opinion, what with the most common excuse when people make a left in front of you is that they didn't see you.
