I have a slip on akropovic exhaust for my 2020 r3 and was wondering if I can buy the header pipes to match the slip-on on there own or do I need to buy a full new full system exhaust. If anyone has seen these around any input would be much appreciated.

I am looking for the same solution. I have a 2015 R3 with the Y series Yoshimura slip on muffler. I would like to make it into a full exhaust system. But I need advice on if it can be done and would the items referenced in the previous posts would work?

I’m on the same boat. Bike came with y series Yoshi exhaust from dealer and would like to make it full. Ordered a cheap exhaust with headers on amazon and will try it oit this tuesday. Diameter of the y series is 51mm so it should work.

Hey man just checking to see if you were able to find a good set of pipes for your slip on. I have the same exact problem and trying to find a solution.

I would stay away from the cheap head pipes on Ebay. If you have a Yoshi slip on, then get a Yoshi head pipe. Otherwise there may be issues with fit and performance.

Even if you stay with the same brand of headers as the slip on you already have... you need to verify the slip-on will fit properly, without modifications. Several forum members have reported... sometimes the diameter of the header pipe where the slip-on attaches is different on the 'full replacement system' than the OEM header pipes... so it may not be the quick plug-and-play you'd expect. Any reputable exhaust manufacturer will be able to tell if their slip-ons and 'full systems' are compatible. Just ask ahead of ordering.
