Hello I've been following the 1/4-1/3 liter wars for a year now. I've been thinking about getting a 2nd bike for day to day use. I have a Buell 1125R great bike but you can't have to many. I was set on the ninja but then I heard about the possible R3 so here I am. I just feel Yamaha has the best quality of all the Japanese co and I don't mind paying a little extra for it. Can't wait to see how this plays out.

Welcome to the forum.

How have you been liking your buell? In the past I have seen a lot of guys complain about them, any pictures of it?

Have you seen the new CBR300? Is that something you would also consider?

I love the buell there is nothing else like it handles great but because of the radical rake and trail it kind of unstable at speed for me that's about 140+. it does have some issues like burning stators and leaky clutch. Erik Buell racing has the fixes for both issues. If I had more $ Id get 1 of these http://www.erikbuellracing.com/motorcycles/ebr1190rx/.
Ive looked at all the sporty bikes under 400cc who knows when and if we would see the ktm and they need to much maintance and good luck finding a dealer close by. the Honda just doesn't move me so I was looking hard at the ninja. Ive owned Yamahas and suzukis in the past like both. Where are you Suzuki Id like to see what they would bring to the table

welcome to the show! I'm seeing your pics, those 1125's are such great looking bikes, such a shame Harley shuttered them!
Harley didn't kill Buell they set Erik free check out my link above to see what he's making now. really shutting down Buell was the best thing they could have done for the future of American made sport bikes.

yes absolutely the next bike the AX is said to be a adventure/touring bike based on the same platform as the RX and SX. Keep in mind Buell was shut down 4 and 1/2 years ago Erik Buell Racing is only a 4 year old moco and look what he and his elves have done so far.
currently they are working with Hero and I see EBR's influence all over these future models http://www.heromotocorp.com/futureisnow/
Then there was the Buell blast a great beginner bike so he's made small bikes in the past we shall see.
