Hey,

Just got myself a new 2015 Red/White R3.

I've done the safety course already so I'm looking forward to using this bike to both add some fun to my commute and save gas.

I'm used to driving my 2014 Mustang GT to work and although the commute isn't far (10kms) it basically breathes the gas.

One concern I have is riding in the winter. I know of riders that ride all year, which is what I would like to do, but I'd love to have some perspective on this.

Thanks and happy to be riding!

Thanks Capn. It rarely ever gets that cold in Victoria, B.C. but I'll consider it.

Can you (or others) give some advice into riding in rain?

Anything I should watch out for or change in driving style vs. dry weather?

One thing I'm concerned about it highway speeds on 2-wheels vs. 4.

Welcome! I've done long trips of a few hours in the rain on the R3 through all sorts of roads and she has faired well, but for getting icy when cold is something we don't get here where I am in Australia, but I can only assume its something probably best avoided.
