Hi ! I'm probably not your typical R3 buyer. I've been riding for 46 years and own or have owned bikes from 50cc to 1800cc. A couple years ago I bought a Ninja 250 on a whim and loved it. Being back on a small light bike was like going back to when I started riding years ago! Great fun!! I was thinking of getting a new Ninja 300, but the reviews and looks of the R3 caught my attention so I'll be picking up a new R3 tomorrow instead. Hope I enjoy it as much as the old Ninja250!! :D

Oh, you'll enjoy it! I'm in a similar situation, owned more powerful bikes and larger bikes, quite a few years under my belt, but enjoying the precision and agility of this 300cc class sport bike.

Welcome. Several older riders go back to the smaller bikes. I'm 69 and I've owned a 2011 Gsxr-1000, 2012 Triumph street triple r, 2012 Ninja 650, 2012 Ninja 250, 3 Ninja 300s, Honda Grom, FZ07, among many other bikes and have also been riding 46 years or so, and now own an R3, CB300F, Zero S, and a Vespa 300. The R3 is my heaviest bike. I too prefer the smaller bikes. We may have even more in common. They call me Doc too. I'm a retired Navy dentist.
