So I'm at 532 miles on my R3, the owner manual says to take it in for its first service at the 600 mile marker, seeing that I won't be able to take it until next week & will adding an additional 280 miles on it before getting the first service done, Will it Harm My Bike?

Not at all, mines was at 680 miles an others here on the forum have posted their first service at well over 700 miles. My dealership explained the first service as a glorified oil/filter change, clean / lube chain and a quick check for free play in bolts, steering, cables.

I picked up a Pitbull rear stand and all materials needed to do the service myself and still saved almost $100 over what the dealer was going to charge me.
It's just an oil change, chain adjustment and pre-flight inspection.

If you're comfortable doing that stuff yourself, you can save quite a bit of money by not going to the dealership for the service.
