I've asked a couple of dealers near Ft leonard wood MO to find a bike for me but no one calls back. Any one in Springfield MO or St. Louis have a line on one that would be great.

If it's anything like the release of the new-gen Ninja 250R or CBR250R, dealers will only get a couple of R3s to gauge interest initially.
Once they finally know what we know, that it will be a huge hit like those other two, they'll order a lot more that will be showing up mid to late summer.
These new small bikes are always rare as hen's teeth the first couple of months after release.

Found a shop about 90 minutes away. They have a team color (blue/silver). Having a **** with it moment and I'm going to look at the bike. I already know I will be impressed I still like having my own choice so we shall see. If I dig the team colors enough may just have to drive away with it

If you feel like driving six hours to Omaha, dillon bros. Had a raven had team yamaha in stock here. No red because I bought it. Probably doesn't help much, but if you're desperate there ya go :p

They also have weird hours so if you're crazy enough to come here make sure they're open haha

The owner at my local dealership said they got one shot at ordering for the whole year. After that, it's wait until next year....

He ordered 4 and has sold 3 already.

Blue ones arrived first and were the most common color ordered by dealers, according to him.

Well I got mine. Did go with the team color after seeing it in the sun. I know if I was still in C Springs I would have hit up Apex but I got there non the less. And after seeing it in person I wanted to fall out

They are beautiful in person. I like the red second and then black, but I couldn't let any dust settle on one of them. If they had one in the old 70's yellow/black, that's what I would have.
