Yes he is a tech for Yamaha, not sure which dealer or factory. Supposedly they sent a few stateside for all the master techs to take home early and study and give opinions on. I tried contacting him to see if there was a way we could possibly take a look at it or get measurements off of and I didn't get an answer. So are we all agreed that this guy got a bike because he is a tech, or is there any other plausible explanation?
I contacted siepherzero on IG because I did notice that the YT guy ripped the video and info off of seipherzero's page. I can understand why we never got a reply from him. Being that they were given early access it was probably under some strict rules, like not sharing any information about it. I'm sure once they release to the public he will contact us or at least share more info on these bikes. He recently uploaded a video and pictures of the R1M as well. Seems like they've completely ripped the bike apart for tech training purposes.seipherzero from Instagram appears to be Ken Inamori.. an employee of Yamaha USA in Georgia.... this explains the early access to the R3
As for Kovac Mordus from YT... I personally dont think they are the same person.... web searches bring up that user name using other crowd funding websites and he's asking for Paypal donations on his YT video... personally I think he ripped off the video from Ken(seipherzero on Instagram) and posted it on YT to make money for his 'R3 Project' ... but anything is possible.... if TST contacted the YT user and didn't get a reply its more likely my hunch
Just my 2cents
I don't know if there's anything official but the consensus for the U.S. is that the bikes will begin shipping to dealers around late January-early February. Here in Arizona the dealers in my area are all saying the bike will be available in late February or early March, at the latest. However, I've heard other countries will be getting the bike sooner so who the **** really knows. I'm hoping I get a call at the end of January from my dealer informing me that my bike arrived early. It's all I think about when I go to bed at night...Has anyone gotten wind of delivery dates or anything?
I hear you trust me! We look at as much videos and pictures of these bikes and really cannot wait to have them in our hands. The R1 will become our track bike and the R3 will stay in house for product development.I don't know if there's anything official but the consensus for the U.S. is that the bikes will begin shipping to dealers around late January-early February. "for product development" ?I hear you trust me! We look at as much videos and pictures of these bikes and really cannot wait to have them in our hands. The R1 will become our track bike and the R3 will stay in house for product development.
likely to fuel their R&D on what we will actually want so that they can go ahead and feed that demand."for product development" ?
What exactly does that entail? Are you just going to test out new parts and such on it, or is there something more to it?
Thanks for reporting back with that information.Visited the show in Calgary and had a chat with the reps about releases....
ArrogantBastard seems to be pretty close... from the Rep at the Canadian show,Canadians can expect it in late March early April (just like my dealer said, was hoping for better haha) and our US friends are usually 6-8 weeks EARLIER than that.
We would like to be one of the earliest companies to design top-quality aftermarket parts for this bike. Fender Eliminators, Integrated Taillights, Flushmount Turn Signals, etc.."for product development" ?
