I made it 9 miles. That was the test ride before I bought it. I left the shop at about 2, finished the ride at 2:30, and it started raining like a cow pissing on a flat rock at 2:33. I had to get it delivered to my house, and it didn't stop raining for 5 days before I got to ride it again... I've been riding about 6 days a week since then.

Got 38 miles on mine but with rain and cold wind in Montana I don't get much time to ride. Waiting for spring/summer to get here. Got all the extras on but can't enjoy them yet.

Trailered home with less than 1 mile (from the dealer set up) on the odo. Rode that day 23 miles (proper hard break in on back roads). 2nd ride was 32 miles. 3rd was 48. today was #4 with 64 miles. Riding on back roads with variations on RPMs. Hit red line a few times; mostly between 5-10,000 RPM in 2-3-4 gears. (See break-in article elsewhere on this forum).

48 Miles on Day 1, then had a three day trip I had to go on!

Rode Saturday (Day 2) to 100 total miles and then changed the oil and filter. (Will still do 600 mile service). Rode yesterday and have 208 miles on the odometer. After the ride I took off that ugly protrusion of the back of the bike and installed the Yoshimura Fender Eliminator kit and it looks so much better now!

Lol, you show off. Jus did my 600 mi oil change today to full synthetic. Didn't notice the EXTREME difference like I did on my ninja 2-fitty, but the shifting was somewhat smoother. On the ninjette, switching to full synthetic made the shifting smooth as glass; on the R3, flipping the shift arm made the same noticeable difference.

Day one 4/18/15 rode 200 miles from Oregon, where I bought it, to Washington where I lived.
Haven't ridden it since because had to tear it apart for racing as well. Hope to put another 200 miles this weekend to help break in the motor =D

81 miles. What a brilliant bike. Was worried about power and able to pass on the freeways. That is not a problem at all, do not miss my old bike which had 30 more HP but 100 pounds heavier at all.
Now next thing to do is whether to do the fender eliminator. Trying to be frugal as possible. I usually try to save money for things like the best tires I can afford.

Rode about 120 miles today, plan to ride as much as I can for a while! I'll fill with ethanol free 87 that is about 5 minutes from my house and plan to run that for now on. I did somewhat of a "harder" break in today, rode home 60 miles with varying speeds and engine loads. Around town, for the most part I shifted at 7-8k RPM, hit 10k a couple times. Tomorrow I'll try to do pulls to 10k RPM in 2-4th gears and change the oil and filter.
