Basically, my bike would start up fine but then after a few minutes of riding the dash would go blank and you feel a lot of engine breaking, however I roll on the throttle a bit more so I can get to my house. All of the sudden the bikes dash would turn on but all sorts of lights would turn on and the gear would say it’s in 6th when I’m actually in 2nd or something like that. The speed would say I’m going some other speed then what I’m actually going, and the rpms gauge would randomly go up and down, however the engine doesn’t scream when the rpm shows it’s at 11 let’s say. Does anybody know how to fix this? All recalls were done, and only electrical work I have done was installing the tst integrated tail light. Also, other time I try to turn on my R3, and it wouldn’t start. The dash would pop up but when I press and hold the starter button, it would just make a little sound and turn off. Please help lol

You've already said HUGE PROBLEM. I have to agree. Take it to your dealer or other trusted mechanic. My bet's on electrical or ECU problem. Well beyond DIY. May be something simple or loose, but IMO you'd be looking for the "needle in a hay stack" trying to diagnose it without the proper equipment and knowledge. Could it be a loose connection? Sure it could! And a stopped clock is right twice a day.:| But my guess is you'd be wasting lots of time for little to show for your efforts trying to second and third guess the problem. Good Luck.
Also see your thread for "would it be a good idea to straight pipe an R3?" Not really. Ignition, combustion, and exhaust are all tied together, and need to at least address each other to run properly.
