Hi,

I know you all have been talking about HIDs and Projectors, but...

Is there any simple way to have both stock (or cheap) lights on?

Yeah, i know "switch high beam" but i would like both lights pointing the same direction :)

I apologize for some OCD here :D

you can adjust the height of the beam..
on he back of the headlight housing there should be a nut with a washer with teeth on it (use size 10) on the lower left side of the headlight turn it clockwise until you get to your desired height.. one forum member told me how to do it!!:)
The solution is there indeed. Though, the reflector on the high beam is missing a bit to allow more light out.
I found this on eBay:

The left reflector is made to throw a high beam pattern which is blinding to other oncoming motorists at night since it has no sharp vertical cut off like the low beam does. Shine your lights on a wall and you will see the difference. You can try to get a lower beam pattern by bending one tab on the left bulb to tip the glass up which make the beam lower to make it more of an always on high beam. You still have to dip it off for oncoming cars at night but it helps it be less obnoxious during the day.
Thank you for the replies,

I'm still not convinced

I'm thinking on modding to use H4 lightbulbs instead of H7 to have hi/low beams

anyway the fact that the reflectors aren't identical bugs me
the fact that the reflectors aren't identical bugs me
That is because one reflector is shaped to throw a low beam and the other is shaped to throw a high beam.
I found the solution during the day I just ride with both lights on all the time. Can you just change the left high beam to a softer less bright bulb ? Or change the right only light to a brighter bulb. so it looks more even to a oncoming driver. I'm not really riding this bike at night.
Well, the whole reflector unit behaves different because of the vertical piece missing on the high-beam side. I gave up but if you want a solution, try to fabric your own piece and fit it in.:)
