Hi all. When I bought my bike brand new there were yellow dots on almost all bolts and fasteners. I am assuming these are factory inspection marks and figured they would come off easy with a wash.

Well, a couple washes later the marks are still there. Some will rub off like a wax crayon mark but others seem to be almost permanent. It's not a big deal but I would like to remove them (even if no one else notices... I do)

Is there a solvent that is used for the yellow marks all over the bike? Alcohol? Ammonia? WD40?

Some of those can futz up your paint and stickers.

WD-40 (cause it's usually right there in the garage).
Goo Gone (available everywhere) is a pretty good and it's non-toxic (shouldn't harm anything but easy to wash off).

If your's are like mine it's a mix of paint and crayon. Somebody but nice yellow streaks on all my turn signals...they washed off.
