Using a Quadlock Fork Steam Pro Mount on my Yamaha R7...I wanted the same, at the same place for my daughter's R3...And no way to have the ram ball mount.
So if it can give some ideas, here is my solution:
Drill and make threads in the original bolt to fix the modified Quadlock !!

What size drill/ tap? I ended up snapping the tap in the bolt….. weird -was oiling too….
For the tap, a friend gave me the stock. The hole was made with a drill, but for the tap he recommended me to do it by hand so as not to break it. Use oil at all times. The dril is a simple Dewalt 20volts. Here is what I used:
