I'm trying this out. It is a single-sided mudguard in the same style as those on the Ducati Diavel and the MV Agusta Brutale Dragster RR (I test rode one of these. It's a totally awesome bike!).

This one is made specifically for the Benelli BN300 and BN600 bikes, but I took a chance after viewing close-up photos and it fits perfectly. Both Benelli's have 17" wheels. If you order one, tell the seller you want the one for the BN300; the BN600 has a much wider tire and the plastic fender they send you for it is wider than needed for the R3.

The framework is made from black anodized aluminum and the fender piece is ABS plastic. The small rear plate is chromed stainless steel. I added one of the reflectors from the stock R3 rear fender to the bottom on that plate. This installation takes just 5 minutes.

If you have installed a Fender Eliminator this can keep water spray from coming up your back. The position can be changed upward as needed.

This is the current listing for it at aliexpress. It arrived in 12 days.

Price is $100 at the moment but prices change. I paid $78 two weeks ago.

I like it. You'll have to report back on how well it protects from splashback on the rear.

Any idea what you're going to put on the plate area?
I have a red reflector on the bottom of the plate right now. I'm currently contemplating what to do, if anything, there.

The plate has "Benelli 1911" lightly etched into it. Other side is blank, so you can turn it around.

Looks good but..........the stock suspension is already working overtime, l dislike the idea of more unsprung weight however little.

It's aluminum and plastic, so is actually very lightweight. I would guess the weight added is less than that of switching to a 150 rear tire.

What fender eliminator did you go with, and did it come with those signals did you purchase them separately? I'd love a link to the FE and signals if you wouldn't mind!

I am trying to decide if I should go FE + Integrated Tailight or FE + aftermarket signals like yours. I like the integrated tailight but I am worried about visibility and people knowing/seeing the tI am going to turn, etc.

Vagabond fender eliminator ( signals not included like all FEs) and these turn signals http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Yamaha-Genuine-LED-Indicators-Blinkers-MT-09-R1-R6-FZ6R-MT-07-Tenere-XT660/301581819314?_trksid=p2047675.c100011.m1850&_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIC.MBE%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20140107090050%26meid%3D5af051f1bf374c47bbf2ba4b969101fa%26pid%3D100011%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D6%26sd%3D301552312220 . Personally I don't trust the integrated tail lights, but to each other their own. I feel as if they don't provide ample visibility to drivers behind, but I do like the flash stop alert most offer.

I purchased the vagabond FE and just use the OEM lighting, it looks 1000% better than stock, but I would LOVE to purchase a setup like this (http://candimotor.com/undertail-r25-2/# or http://candimotor.com/undertail-r25/) and just mount my plate on a mudflap like above.

Thanks guys, I appreciate it! I love those signals but paying almost $100 USD for them seems steep. I suppose thats the price you pay for good looking blinkers!

I wish that plate wasn’t there, I’d like to keep my license plate up top and wouldn’t know how to make that splashguard look half decent with that silver plate staring me in the face, but I’m also having a hard time finding any alternatives in this style of guard...
