Installing new bar end mirrors

Hello guys - first post here, seeking some help.

I bought legal bar end mirrors and wanted to install them yesterday.
What I did was, I got a longer screw and tried to attach the bar end mirror right next to the weight at the end of the bar.

The problem is now, that as soon as a little bit wind hits the mirrors, they turn down because the handlebar end weight and probably that part inside are twistable.

How do I get this to work? The same company offers end bar weights, but can I mount them on my R3 and how do I remove the "thing" inside the handlebar (I believe its for vibration reduction)?

I can't post a link because of my post count. But here is an imgur album with pictures: imgur.com/a/fvYX5 In the pictures the bar end mirrors aren't mounted because I had to remove them for riding today.

Any help/advice is appreciated!

Those Motacc bar ends will fit once the R3s weights are removed, but you shouldn't need them. The bar end mirrors will take the place of the stock bar ends.

The weights inside the bars can be removed by using a small flat blade screwdriver, or two, to pry the tabs up out of the slots they fit in. Weights will then slide right out.

Then just go back to using the bar ends as they came and the sliding pieces on them will tighten them right up.

If you notice vibration with the weights removed you can always coat them liberally with epoxy (or wrap them with electrical tape so they are a tight fit into the bars) and push them farther into the bars. If you use epoxy, make sure you clean out the end of the hole well after inserting the weights (and before the epoxy sets up), so that the bar ends will still fit and NOT get epoxied in!

The bar ends alone will not hold, if I remove the inside bar weight. (I think?) I got the long inside bar weight out now, but I'm struggling to get how the original bar ends (the ones that are circled in my pic) will hold at the end? Because I have nothing else to put into the bar in place of the original bar weight where I could screw that in.

Edit: I only got the mirrors, not the motacc bar weights. I guess I need them then too?

Edit: I only got the mirrors, not the motacc bar weights. I guess I need them then too?

If this is all you have right now, then, yes, you would need to buy the bar ends (with correctly-sized Klemmteil/Cotter to fit the R3s bars). Then you'd be all set.

They're nice looking mirrors, by the way!

I did kind of a diy fix now. I wrapped the original handlebar weight in thin tissue and taped it, so it becomes a little bit thicker and stops the weight from twisting inside the handlebar. It withstands the force of the mirror at high speeds.

Will be an acceptable fix for me until I get my hands on those handlebar end weights.

This is how it looks now, it only twists if you give it some force by hand, so it is still adjustable.
