I just got my insurance from Progressive for $224. It broke down as follows:

Bodily injury liability coverage - $25000 each person/ $50000 each accident.
Property damage liability - $10000 each accident.
Comprehensive - $500 deductible.
Collision - $500 deductible.
Uninsured motorist - $25000 each person/ $50000 each accident.

I have a motorcycle endorsement and have had motorcycles all my life. I did a lot of research and have found these settings work best for me in getting a good quote. I totally recommend Progressive.;)

guys Im using my insurance and it was only 90$PER YEAR! for the basic of course.
The website is this one https://www.dairylandinsurance.com/

Good luck.
I did look at them too but I was a little concerned about the reviews after some people were upset that when they had an accident it took 5 days before anyone contacted them but I guess just don't have an accident.

So I just checked how much insurance for me and an R3 would be.....

$5935.85 a year!!

so nope.. will not be using them. I have had No accidents. No tickets.. My driving record is clean.. Why so much, I have no Idea. Ridiculous.

Are insurance companies still classifying the r3 as a super sport? I read a few weeks ago that they do.
Well on the Yamaha website it is under the 'super sport' section so maybe that is where the insurers get some of their information.

progressive gave me the same rate. $5856 yr...

they arent classifying it correctly... or as others stated as a super sport in the same category as the R6 and R1... it pretty much has deterred me from picking up an R3...

Im 25, clean record but no experience on bike living in Quebec, Canada. The cheapest I got is 60$ a year for basic coverage, 200$ a year with 250$ deductible non-collision and 350$ a year with 250$ deductible on both collision and non-collision. This was with the personal (I'm an engineer and get good deals with them due to that here).

The most ridiculous quote I got is 3800$ full coverage. Was told its a "yzf" and that's supersport and that it doesn't matter which one I have.

Alright, so finally set up insurance on it. Oddly, or not oddly based entirely on paper/words instead of common sense, the 320 cc "sport" R3 costs slightly more than my 700cc standard motorcycle.

I set up full coverage with 2 riders on the motorcycle (my wife and I) since I know for various reasons I may have to get on the R3 every now and then. Came out to 42 bucks a month for two people.

Geico wanted $1500.00 for two insured riders. One with MSF endorsement one without. This is also who our auto is with. There is a previous at fault collision on one driver.

Called progressive. $488.00 for the year if paid all at once. Also includes $3000.00 of accessories at no charge. I wonder if that includes riding gear :p

Breakdown is as follows:
Deductible - $1000.00
Bodily injury liability coverage - $25000 each person/ $50000 each accident.
Property damage liability - $10000 each accident.
Comprehensive - $500 deductible.
Uninsured motorist - $25000 each person/ $50000 each accident.
