So I know we were all a little disappointed that the R3 wasn't revealed on the Yamaha website recently. Instead we were shown a tricycle, which took me by surprise.

There is another yet to be revealed model on the Yamaha website. Could it be the R3? There is no countdown at the moment so it must still be a little while to wait. Is there anything else it could be though?

Check out the website here --> http://global.yamaha-motor.com/showroom/revstation/product/

There is also this promotional video, which is pretty cool.

Looking into the coding of the site for clues is really smart. I'm impressed. That has to be all but a confirmation that one of these is going to be the r25. One of those other words must be the other other model. "Trika". Could that be yet another tricycle?

The Trika is expected to be powered by a 125cc liquid cooled engine, mated to an automatic transmission.

trying to see the point a 3 wheels motorcycle.
You get better stability, but beyond think I think that it is mostly just a novelty. Some people think that having three wheels is better than having two. It's different, makes you stand apart from the rest of the people out there that ride on 2 wheels or 4.

Can you guys think of any other benefits to the three wheel set-up?

I don't think I've ever seen anyone riding a trike around town before though. I just can't really see them selling that well.

Since it says r25 in the coding for the page, do you think that means that we will have to wait even longer for the r3. Anyone have any ideas on that?

I guess the T-Rex is mostly a toy, whereas the Tricity is aimed more towards being a commuter. The T-Rex looks freakin' awesome though and I bet its a blast to drive.

I really don't think that Yamaha has come upon the next big thing and in a few years everyone will have trikes. Check back in a few years and see if my prediction is correct.

something like that, I'll repost these here from another thread. The website shows now 2 additional products slotted for launch after Tricity and the website metadata suggest R25/R3...

Caring for only one of those slots and in hopes that it is the R3.If we get bombed again with different "thing" other than the R3 I am done.. just done with Yamaha.

LOL, how drastic of you! Really you would give up on their quality of product just because the bike you want keeps getting delayed? Lets not throw the baby out with the bath water :D
